Hanney Womens Institute

Welcome to Hanney W.I.

The W.I. is the largest voluntary women's organisation in the U.K. The W.I. exists to educate women to enable them to provide an effective role in the community, to widen their horizons and to develop and pass on important skills.WI_Logo

Hanney W.I. is part of the Oxfordshire Federation of Women's Institutes, which belongs to the National Federation. We have 11 meetings a year. We meet in Hanney War Memorial Hall on the 2nd Thursday of the month from September to June. We usually plan something different for our July meeting.

The main part of the evening is a talk or demonstration by a guest speaker. In addition there will be some brief W.I. business, future events, visits and further trips and activities.

In addition there are a variety of opportunities for members organised by both the Oxfordshire Federation and National.

If you would like to know more about our thriving W.I. please contact Sue Tyack 01235 868722, suetyack@tiscali.co.uk or Jean Hinckley 01235 867439, rj.hinckley@tesco.net alternatively just come along to a meeting. You will receive a warm welcome.
