HWMH Information and Rules

What you can book

The Hall has three main rooms, The Main Hall, The Olde Hanney Room and a Committee Room. There is also a kitchen and sports changing rooms with showers.

The Mail Hall has a seating capacity of about 200, a balcony and a stage with several access points. There is access for the disabled, and the north side overlooks the recreation ground which is suitable for outside activities linked to the use of the hall.

The Olde Hanney Room includes a bar and provides further seating of about 40.

Depending on bookings already taken you may book all or each of the facilities separately. Preference for booking the bar and kitchen will be given to people booking the main hall.

Tables and Chairs

Abut 200 chairs are available in The Main Hall as well as approximately 20 folding tables, each of which can seat 6-8 people.

The Olde Hanney Room has its own smaller tables, along with fixed and movable seating.

Licensed Premises

Hanney War Memorial Hall is licensed and has a bar which sells a wide range of drinks at reasonable prices. Users of the Hall are not normally permitted to bring their own alcoholic drinks. Licensing ends at 11pm and no drinks will be served after this time.

Rules

  • Anyone booking the facilities must leave them in a clean and tidy state ready for reuse.
  • 18th Birthday parties must be attended by guardians and we request they take steps to ensure no under age drinking takes place.
  • The Committee reserves the right to close the bar should it deem necessary, for instance if it believes attempts are being made to purchase alcohol for or by those under 18.
  • After use all chairs in the main hall must be stored and tables taken down.

Other information

  • Crockery and Cutlery may be hired.
  • Heating and Electric are included in the hire charges.
  • An adequate car park is attached to the hall.
  • First Aid Box is in the kitchen.
